Equine Positional Release

Horses carry physical and mental trauma, whether it’s from day-to-day minimal wear on joints, or from the more serious impacts of abuse and neglect. Trauma affects neural pathways, leading to pain and restriction, causing compensatory patterns which impact the well-being of the animal.

I am a certified Associate Practitioner and ongoing student of Equine Positional Release (EPR), which is both a highly effective form of equine proprioceptive training, and a valuable approach to holistic equine health care. Adapted from the concepts of understanding of the nature of the horse, EPR can address a wide range of physical issues and deepens our horse-human relationships. Non-force and pain-free techniques are utilized to facilitate the release of tension patterns, promote expanded range of motion, help in the repair of injuries, and offer a greater sense of well-being to the horse. EPR works within the range of comfort of the horse and creates a safe environment to relax, build trust, and release compensation patterns.

*the services I offer are not a replacement for veterinary care. Nothing I do involves musculoskeletal adjustments or manipulations - for that you should consult a DVM.
